End of 2022 season!

In 2019, approx. 90% of our guests from abroad, then the pandemic came and in 2020 only Norwegian guests and reduced season length due to restrictions. In the 2021 season we had approx. 90% Norwegians, no restrictions and season from April to October.

Now when the 2022 season is over, we see that most things are back as before the pandemic, 80% foreigners, 20% Norwegians, and we had a record season in terms of the number of guests and turnover, being fully booked for large parts of the season. We apologize to everyone who did not get to experience Folgefonna with us because of this, but it is not easy to readjust and plan when the market turns so quickly.

We had a relatively snowy winter in 2022, and the spring was not very warm, therefore not much blue ice on Folgefonna in the beginning of June, all of July and large parts of August were very humid, it rained and rained, but still we had nice experiences on the glacier. In September we made up for all the rain and had a lot of good weather and a lot blue ice and ice caves and tunnels.

For us, safety is the most important thing, and we can also look back on the 2022 season with no serious personal injuries either to glacier drivers or guests, which we are of course very happy about!

Now we are starting to look forward to the 2023 season. Every year we want to improve ourselves, so you as our guest can get a even better experience of being on tour with us next time! Hope to see you on Folgefonna in 2023.

Want to thank all of you visiting us this season and also a special thanks to all employees for their 100% dedication and for making our hikes safe and give World Class nature experiences to all our guests!
