Folgefonna is in constant change!

Folgefonna is in constant change. The melting continues also this year with high speed! We need to adopt to ensure our hikes are safe. Last month a new lake has occoured in the front of the glacier fall where Folgefonn Summer ski center was located. Result of this is that it's not possible to enter this glacier fall on the rigth side of the old ski lift. Only option now is to enter the glacier on the left side of ski lift, which again means we need to cross under the ski lift on our way to Folgefonna National park. From this week we do not find that safe because the old ski lift may will fall down because of melting. So until the ski lift is removed from the glacier we need to hike around it over moutains and rock. The moutain hike is a great contrast to the ice hiking, so our hikes are still world class!
